What is Hustle

Hustle is the first gig app created specifically for young adults ages 13 to 21, helping them find side hustles right in their neighborhoods. The platform connects hustlers with clients who need tasks done, making it simple to create quotes, showcase work, and get hired. Parents also have the option to oversee activity, ensuring safety while teens gain independence and work experience. Hustle empowers the next generation of entrepreneurs by making it easy to earn money, build skills, and connect with their community.

How we started

Hustle began in 2023 when I realized how frustrating it was to rely on old methods like passing out flyers, knocking on doors, or asking my mom to post on Facebook just to find work. There needed to be a better way for young entrepreneurs to create and grow their own side hustles. That idea pushed me to enter Scots Tank at Highland Park, where I first pitched Hustle.

2023

2024

During my senior year of high school, Hustle was focused on raising funding and refining the app’s vision.

2025 - Present

Hustle was entered into Auburn University’s Tiger Cage, a pitch competition with a prize pool of more than $105,000. As one of only three freshmen to reach the semifinals, Hustle stood out early as a strong idea. Over the past year, the concept has been refined into its final MVP form and is now in active development, with an official release planned for January 2026.

Hustle was founded by Case Johnson, who first began developing the idea in 2023 while attending Highland Park High School. Inspired by the challenges young people face when trying to start side hustles, Case set out to build a platform that makes opportunity more accessible.

Today, Case is a sophomore at Auburn University, pursuing a dual major in Business Finance and Marketing at the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business. At Auburn, he continues to grow Hustle while gaining real-world experience in entrepreneurship, product design, and startup development.

Case has competed in pitch competitions such as Scots Tank and Auburn’s Tiger Cage, advancing as one of the youngest founders in the field. His journey reflects a drive to create meaningful solutions for his generation, with Hustle serving as both a business and a mission to empower young entrepreneurs everywhere.
